Cricket Betting at pvvip — all bets from BPL to the T20 World Cup in one place
Every time the Tigers take the field, each over brings a new opportunity. pvvip's cricket section covers all major domestic and international tournaments with markets, live in-play odds and multiple betting formats — all in an easy-to-use interface.
Cricket's three formats and major tournaments
To fully enjoy cricket betting, it helps to understand the differences between the three formats. T20 is the fastest and most action-packed — a match wraps up in just twenty overs, so odds can shift with every ball. Franchise leagues like BPL and IPL are played in T20 format, which is why they draw a large audience across Dhaka and the rest of Bangladesh.
ODI, or One-Day International cricket, sees both teams bat for fifty overs each. Strategy matters a little more here — top-order batting performance, powerplay execution, and death-over bowling directly affect betting outcomes. The ICC Cricket World Cup and Asia Cup are the biggest ODI competitions.
Test cricket is a five-day match — a draw is a valid result, so you can bet on three possible outcomes: Team A wins, Team B wins, or a draw. The T20 World Cup and BPL season are the most active betting periods for Bangladeshi bettors.
Football and other sports betting
Football Betting
Alongside cricket, pvvip also has a busy football betting market. You can bet on competitions ranging from the Premier League and La Liga to Bangladesh Football Federation matches. Draws are much more common in football, so the odds for three outcomes are structured differently from cricket ODIs. Among Bangladeshi fans, English and Spanish league matches are in highest demand.
Premier League Federation CupOther Sports
Sports like tennis, badminton and kabaddi follow much the same betting format — match winner, handicap, and total points markets. However, the depth of live markets in these sports is smaller compared to cricket. If you want to move from sports betting to casino games, pvvip's WL Live Casino section has full details on live table games including Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live.
Tennis Kabaddi BadmintonDifferences between cricket and football betting
A single T20 match has several hundred balls, which means a much larger number of in-play markets. Every wicket or six directly changes the odds for the next over. In football, a 90-minute match may see only 3 to 5 goals, so market movements are comparatively slower. Understanding this difference makes it clear how closely you need to watch the odds in each sport.
Popular betting markets — how each one works
pvvip offers many types of markets for cricket betting. Below is a brief overview of seven popular markets.
Match Winner
The simplest market — will Team A or Team B win? In T20 and ODI there are only two options. In Test cricket, a draw is added as a third option.
All FormatsToss Winner
A bet on which team wins the toss before the match starts. The result does not depend on what happens on the field, so odds are usually roughly even.
Pre-MatchTop Run Scorer
A bet on who will score the most runs in an innings or across the whole match. A bit more analysis is needed, so the range of odds is much wider.
High OddsTotal Runs Over/Under
The bookmaker sets a line (for example, 160 runs) — you bet on whether the two teams combined will score more than that (over) or fewer (under). Pitch conditions and surface type play an important role here.
Over/UnderTop Wicket Taker
A bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match. In T20, this market sees the most interest around death-over bowlers.
Bowling MarketMulti Bet
Combine selections from multiple matches into a single bet — if all selections are correct, the odds multiply, but if even one is wrong the entire bet is lost.
Multi BetHandicap and Over/Under markets
In a handicap market, runs or wickets are added to or taken away from the stronger team to level the contest. For example, if Team A is given a -15 run handicap, they need to win by more than 15 runs for the bet to win. Over/Under markets can also have separate lines for each innings. In these types of markets, understanding how the line works matters more than focusing on a specific stake or return.
How to read odds — three formats
pvvip may display odds in three formats: decimal, fractional and American. They look different but carry the same information.
Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200
If the bet wins you get back ৳600 (৳400 profit + your original ৳200); if it loses, ৳200 is gone.
Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American -200
In American format, a negative number shows how much you need to stake to make 100 taka profit. A ৳200 bet returns ৳300 (৳100 profit).
Most Bangladeshi bettors find decimal format easiest because it is simply odds × stake = total return. Fractional and American formats are more common on European and North American sites.
How odds multiply in a multi bet
Take three separate selections with decimal odds of 1.60, 1.80 and 1.90 — placed together in a multi bet, the combined odds become 1.60 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.47 (approximately). So a ৳100 bet returns ৳547 if all three are correct. But if even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost. Multi bets are an entertaining side of betting, but the risk is higher.
Live in-play — odds change wicket by wicket
In-play betting is one of the most engaging features of pvvip's cricket section. You can place bets after a match has started, and odds update after every over, after every wicket, or following a big shot.
Say Team B loses two wickets in the first five overs — at that moment Team B's odds will lengthen because their chances of winning have fallen. Conversely, if Team A's opening bowler bowls two consecutive maidens, Team A's probability of winning rises and their odds will shorten.
In T20, the most market movement happens in the final five overs (the death overs). A big six or a runout can flip the entire equation in an instant. pvvip's mobile interface makes it easy to make quick decisions in these moments.
For casino games, pvvip's pvvip Casino section also has real-time games like live baccarat and roulette where you make decisions on every round.
Useful tips for betting — know these before you start
- Set a budget beforehand. Before each session, decide on a limit for yourself — how much you are willing to spend for entertainment. Betting is for entertainment, not as a source of income.
- Understand one market well. Rather than jumping into every market at once, start with simpler ones like match winner or over/under. As you gain experience, you can move on to more complex markets.
- Do not rush in live betting. In-play odds move fast, so rather than making snap decisions out of excitement, take a moment to assess the situation before placing a bet.
- Know the risk in multi bets. Multi bets offer higher returns but if any selection is wrong the entire bet is lost. Start with a small stake.
- Keep pitch and weather in mind. Pitches on the subcontinent generally favour spinners, especially in the second innings. This has an impact on total runs markets.
- Remember the differences between formats. A team that is strong in T20 may not perform the same way in Test cricket. Consider each format's market separately.
- Play responsibly. If betting starts to feel like stress rather than enjoyment, read pvvip's responsible gaming guidelines and take a break if needed.
- Know the rules. Before placing a bet, take a look at pvvip's terms and conditions — especially anything related to bonus wagering.
